NDG Artquest @ William-Bowie Park September 5th, 2026. All ages , families welcome. All skill levels. Join us anytime from 12:00-17:00.
All interested may join Melissa in an anytime workshop "TBD" (more information upcoming). Need guidance? Julie and Melissa are ready to help. Free supplies available, including acrylic paint, paint brushes, canvas, colouring pencils, colouring books, stickers, and many more odds and ends.
In this workshop, Melissa helps you find other ways to identify, understand, and process your experiences. The workshop begins with grounding ourselves in our bodies. We then: 1) pick a reoccurring thought; 2) follow that thought to it's underlying feeling; 3) explore where that feeling lingers in the body; 4) and finally we paint that feeling that exists in our bodies.
Painting the interconnection between our feelings, thoughts, and body gives us an alternative language that helps us intentionally grow into ourselves with more confidence and love.
This workshop is built upon the themes and ideas of allowing oneself to authentically create art without the supervision of shame, capitalism, or expectations. There is no one right way to process our feelings & experiences — including the art we make. We are here to move at the pace of trust, love, & curiousity.
This winter, friends of Art Quest kept getting together to create.
